Mission
The mission of Kids See Stars is to bring love, hope, and joy to the lives of children through music. Kids See Stars (KSS) is about bringing music fans together to support this mission, focusing on children who are at risk, underserved, or have limited access to music programs.
KSS helps children reach for the stars through the establishment of various projects to provide music opportunities to children in need.
Vision
The goal of each project is to let children know the power of music at all levels. To let them know there are total strangers who have come together through their love of music and want to share that inspiration with them. To let them experience music and all the wonders that it can bring into a person's life. We hope to enrich the life of a child through music.

History
The Kids See Stars (KSS) program was formed by music fans in 2008. The goal was to have a fund- raiser to bring instruments, equipment, and music lessons into the lives of children who have limited or no access to music resources.
KSS teamed with the Chicago based Rock for Kids organization to help determine a good recipient of the proceeds. The Association House was chosen to receive all donations.
In March 2009, the KSS team, Rock for Kids, and a well-known Chicago musician met the children at the Association House. The kids rocked the house with our favorite rock star, joining forces to create some very lively and unique music. The kids were thrilled to have a rock star come visit, to receive the guitars, and to have an opportunity to take each guitar for a test drive.
The event was so successful the KSS team decided to establish Kids See Stars as a permanent program and expand with new projects as opportunities arise.
We will continue to team with established community groups, organizations, businesses, fans/volunteers, and the children to realize our vision.
Music is the sound of love and we wish to share that love with children to inspire them. We believe that our world is a better place through the experience of music and we want to pay it forward to the next generation.
