We are so excited to launch this year's project, The Magic of Music.
Chicago has a tradition of producing many of the worlds most gifted musicians and artists. It is the place that Kids See Stars first came into being, so we decided to dedicate this year's fundraiser to the city and its musicians.
Music embraces us with stories that warm our hearts and sounds that touch our souls. This year KSS has chosen La Casita House and the Association House as the beneficiaries of our fundraiser. These organizations are dedicated to improving the lives of children. The Association House provides after-school programs and has initiated a Rock Band music lesson program. La Casita House is a group home in Chicago caring for 8 amazing boys. These boys will receive music-related gifts, as well as become part of the after-school Rock program. We are excited to be able to pay it forward to these very deserving children at both Houses.

Association House serves as a community resource to help families help themselves. Their programs focus on a core mission to offer services to the economically disadvantaged.
 The Association House has many children's programs. Last year, KSS donated music equipment and funds for lessons to their after-school music program.
This year, we wanted to reach beyond the established programs to children who have "fallen off the radar screen". We found a Chicago based group home where 8 boys live. These boys have endured many life challenges, yet are resilient and hopeful.
We have again teamed up with Rock for Kids and the Association House, and are thrilled to announce that contributions will again be donated to the Association House Rock Band program. In addition, the 8 boys will be joining this program so they can take guitar lessons and become part of this music experience.
